True, making connections before asking for links is the best way to go. I tend to refuse most people who asks for links that I don’t know.

Jerome, you are absolutely correct. Networking is a big factor in growing your business. But you should also be willing to help your friends out. Help them out before you start asking for help. That way they’ll be more receptive to your request.

Good points overall, but I can’t begin to stress the importance of networking. Utilize your network to reach people who you already know. Get them to endorse your product or service. Ask if you can put a link on a friend’s website. Make a list of everyone you know and see what resources they can bring to the table.
