Some of you probably already know this, so this will be a “duh” kind of a post for you. However, for the rest of you, I must share with you an important tidbit that will save you tons of time in the kitchen. I know a lot of you want to make healthy meals for your family, but you just don’t have time. That’s certainly understandable. It takes a lot of time and energy to run a successful business. Sometimes you have to put in 12 hour days to get everything done that needs to be done. By the time dinner time rolls around, the only thing you have energy for is going to Boston Market or Piccadilly to get some dinner for your family. Doing that everyday gets pretty expensive. It’s less expensive to cook at home, plus you can be assured that the quality of the food will be what you want it to be. You know exactly what’s in the food you’re serving. So what is this appliance I can’t live without? No it’s not a microwave (although that’s pretty important). It’s my slow cooker. Proctor Silex makes slow cookers. Slow cookers are AWESOME. I have made barbecue ribs, pot roast, and chicken in my slow cooker. It’s such a life saver, especially on days when I have an important deadline and have to spend most of the day on the computer. Here’s one recipe that I love to make and my family loves to eat. This is the recipe for slow cooker chicken…

Ingredients
4 to 8 chicken breasts
2 cans of white potatoes (whole or sliced)
1 can of baby carrots
1 bag of pre sliced onions and peppers (they’re in Kroger’s frozen vegetable section)
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
season salt
lemon pepper
Put the potatoes, carrots, and onions and peppers in the slow cooker. Sprinkle season salt and lemon pepper on the veggies. Put the chicken in the slow cooker. Sprinkle some season salt and lemon pepper on the chicken. Pour the cream of mushroom soup in the slow cooker. Allow to cook for 4 to 6 hours. Enjoy! Do NOT add water to this recipe.
