10 Ways To Support Charity Through Social Media

Posted on July 14, 2009 by DeAnnaMarch 17, 2016

Yes I know this is outside of my normal schedule.  However, I felt like this  was an important enough topic to deviate from my normal schedule just a tad.  I firmly believe in supporting charities whenever I can.  Read on for more information about how you can support charity through social media.

This post is a collaboration between Mashable’s Summer of Social Good charitable fundraiser and Max Gladwell‘s “10 Ways” series. The post is being simultaneously published across more than 100 blogs.

Etsy Twitter Shop Of The Week-Sumiko Shop

Posted on July 3, 2009 by DeAnnaMarch 17, 2016

This week’s shop of the week is Sumiko Shop. I was impressed by the quality of the jewelry in her shop. The fact that she uses a lot of red was a big plus for me. I wear a lot of red. That IS one of my signature colors after all.   Here’s one of her gorgeous pieces:

Check out this beautiful purple necklace that is in this shop.  This is another one of my signature colors.  I love purple.

I've added a new topic to my blog: Etsy Twitter Day!

Posted on June 25, 2009 by DeAnnaMarch 17, 2016

One of the things I like to do in my spare time is make crafts and sell them on Etsy.com. One of the great things about Etsy is the community aspect. Etsy artists always support other Etsy artists. One of the ways I decided to help promote my fellow Etsians (I don’t know if that’s the proper term, but that’s what I’m going to use) was to join the Etsy Twitter Team.

One of the ways the Etsy Twitter Team helps promote other Etsians is through what’s called the Shop of The Week. So without further ado, here’s this week’s shop of the week….  Read more... (166 words, 0 images, estimated 40 secs reading time)

Change of plans

I won’t be holding my twitter party this week after all. I’ve got too much going on at my job. I’ll have to do something later on.

Editorial Calendar

Posted on December 4, 2008 by DeAnnaMarch 17, 2016

I decided to create an editorial calendar. It’s nothing fancy. It’s just a schedule of what I plan to write each day. There may be some days that I don’t get to post because of an illness or my travel schedule.  I also might post some additional entries if I’m participating in a special product launch. So here’s the schedule: Sundays-No posts Mondays-Events/General Business Stuff Tuesdays-Blogging Wednesdays-Networking Thursdays-Goal Setting Fridays-Podcasting Saturdays-Book Reviews/Product Reviews

I am now publishing on AddsYou.com

Posted on December 2, 2008 by DeAnnaMarch 17, 2016

I thought this day would never come! Finally the makers of http://www.addsyou.com have opened the doors and let us alpha test their website. Basically they allow you to get paid to do what you’re already doing – creating awesome content. The only catch is that you have to be invited by someone who’s already an addsyou.com alpha tester. I’d love to send you an invitation, just indicate that you’d like one in the comment section. I’ll tell you what to do to get an invite.

LinkedIn Bloggers Blog Boost 11: cheezy cheeky

Posted on May 17, 2006 by DeAnnaMarch 17, 2016

Well this week's blog was yet another one of those, "What is this blog about again?" kind of blogs.  I guess it's for artsy types although I still haven't really figured out what the writer is trying to get her readers to gain from reading the blog.  I guess you can figure out that it's important to me to be able to figure out why I should be reading your blog. If you don't have a descriptive title for your blog, you should have a description in the profile section of your blog.  That's just my opinion.  You can view this week's Blog by going to http://gorgeoux.blogspot.com/  Read more...
