I’m sure you have heard people say over and over again that image is everything.
Dress for success. Etc. Etc. Etc. How does one dress the part of an executive
while they are making the money of a secretary? Here are some suggestions to
help you look like the success that you are.
1. Forget about trendy clothes. Buy clothes that are never going to go out of style. This way you don’t have to buy clothes every six months because it’s not in fashion.
2. Shop at consignment stores or thrift stores.
Chances are there’s a really great consignment store in your area. If you’re
in the Atlanta area, I recommend starting with Finders Keepers or Psycho Sisters.
The url for Psycho Sisters is http://www.psychosistersshops.com/ and the url for Finders Keepers is http://www.finderskeepers.org/
If you don’t live in Atlanta, just look in the phone book under consignment stores or thrift stores and I’m sure you will find some stores to check out.
Make sure you go on a day when you can browse. That’s how you find the best deals.
3. Organize a clothes swap with some of your professional friends.
If you are the type that gets tired of wearing the same 4 or 5 suits every week,
find some friends that are your same size and organize a system where you
swap outfits for a day. You may want to have some type of agreement as
to who pays for cleaning bills if the item gets stained or something like that.
These are just a few of the ideas I was able to come up with. If you have anymore ideas, please feel free to leave them in the comment section of the blog.
Now make it a prosperous day.

I’m still here…
I took a short blogging sabbatical to start a new venture. Well the venture is started, I have been sufficiently trained and now it is time for me to get back to the business of blogging. You know something is acceptable and vital to the success of your organization when you see mainstream press writing articles about it. There was an article in the most recent issue of Entrepreneur magazine. I will post the link tomorrow. Businessweek also has an article about blogging from a corporate perspective. You can view it by going here

I’ll post more about my latest business venture tomorrow. I have to make a dash to my second home… The copy shop.
Until next time…
Go make it a prosperous day.
