1. You have to be consistent. Social networking doesn’t work if you make a connection and then don’t do anything else to contact the person you just met.

2. You have to use different platforms. Just because you like one particular platform doesn’t mean that your potential clients will like that platform. You have to branch out and try different things.

3. Finally, I have learned that the best way to be successful using social networking is to ask. You can’t get help if you don’t ask your network. Someone in your network knows someone who can give you the help you need.

Here’s a tip for you to use during the upcoming new year. Use twitter to get more readers to your blog. It’s really simple. All you have to do is write your blog post and then post your new blog entry to your twitter timeline. Also be sure to include your fellow tweeps in your blog post whenever possible.
