  2. I am never against buying used equipment, so I am glad that you brought that up in this article. You can really save a lot of money when it comes to buying used copiers, computers, fax machines etc. These machines work just about as well as brand new ones.

  3. Given my website, I’m a little bit biased toward using professional accounting services as a way to save long-term. But the tax code undergoes so many changes that a non-professional can’t possibly keep up with them. Using a pro can save a lot of headache later on, especially if you’re audited because most accountants will handle that as well. As for your other recommendations, I second buying used equipments — nowadays, there’s usually a glut of those because of places going out of business.

    • Leo, I do agree that using a professional accounting service is the best bet for the long term. I don’t want people to be like, Oh well I can’t afford an accountant so I won’t start my business. I do think small businesses should work towards being able to use a professional accountant.
