Okay so they say you know you’ve arrived when other bloggers start saying nice things about you. Well during January my good friend Mitch Mitchell started a series he calls Black Web Friday where he highlights Blacks that are active on the web. Well guess who got featured last week? Yup, yours truly! You can read about it here-Black Web Friday 03/02/2012. Do you want your blog to be included in a Black Web Friday post? Well here’s the intro to the series – http://www.imjustsharing.com/black-web-friday-12012/. You’d have to ask Mitch about what the requirements are to be listed. I’m not really sure if he has any hard and fast rules. Of course I’m sure interacting with him could help…Anywho I just wanted to brag a little bit! Back to your regularly scheduled programming with the next post.
Here’s another guest blog post by Mitch Mitchell. This one is about a subject I love talking about–outsourcing.
Take it away Mitch!
I’ve been a sole proprietor for more than eight years. During my first three years, I pretty much did everything for myself. Now, when you’re not making big money, there are some things that don’t make any sense for you to spend your money on. For instance, spending a lot of money on big marketing campaigns don’t make much sense because if you work for yourself it’s actually more about getting a few clients under your belt, making some money first to establish yourself, and then maybe thinking about branching out and becoming larger through big marketing campaigns.
Here’s another gem from my friend, Mitch Mitchell. This time he’s giving information about something all business owners have to do to grow their business-market.
Take it away, Mitch…
As a sole proprietor, I can honestly tell you that I have tried every way I can think of to market my business. I’m sure you have also, but just in case you haven’t let me go through the different ways that you can try to market your small business.
Here is a guest blog post by my good friend, Mitch Mitchell. In this post he gives some good reasons why you should have a business blog. Take it away, Mitch!
Sometimes I wonder just how far the computer age has gone. I say that because quite often I’m answering the same question over and over; why should I have a business blog. I’m going to give you a few reasons why you should have a business blog and how you can have a business blog.
I decided to expand this to include events happening next week as well as this week.
Without further ado, here’s what’s happening…
Journchat-This chat happens via twitter every week. This chat is for journalists, bloggers, and public relations professionals. The main purpose of this chat is to provide a platform for the people that report on the news to have an open dialog with each other. The chat takes place every Monday from 7 PM to 10 PM (CST) via twitter. This is a fast moving chat so I suggest you use tweetchat to help you follow the conversation. Also if you are a journalism student, you should add this to your routine. You’ll learn a lot of “real world” stuff in this chat that you may not learn in your college classes.
