Interested In Natural Health And Green Living? Don’t Miss This Event

One of the things that I’m passionate about is natural health and wellness solutions for what ails us. I believe that there is a natural solution on this planet for everything that we need to survive. Do I know ALL of the answers? No. It would take a lifetime to discover everything that plants and herbs can do for our bodies. I don’t think that every person should be on the same type of diet. I do realize that each person has their own individual issues. One thing I can suggest is that you take every chance you get to learn about different natural things you can do to promote good health. The one thing a solopreneur can’t afford is to get sick. Even though you may have assistants and passive income streams already built into your business, there are certain things that only YOU can do. If you lose your health, you won’t be able to serve your clients the way you want to because you’ll be so concerned with getting better. If you are interested in learning more about how you can use natural means to stay healthy, you don’t want to miss the Alive! Expo that is coming to Atlanta this weekend. The Alive! Expo will feature vendors that sell a wide variety of health and wellness products. You will get a chance to see yoga demos and healthy cooking demos. There will be vendors promoting vitamins and supplements. You will get to learn about alternative medicine therapies. You won’t even have to worry about what to do with the kids. Bring them along. There will be a kid’s corner and an on site daycare. Of course you will also get the opportunity to get tons of product samples.

Small Business Fitness Announcement: Vampire 5K Race Comes To Atlanta

It is important for small business owners to be physically fit. You can be much more productive when your body is in good condition. If 5K races are your thing, I have an event for you. It’s the Vampire 5K race. Actually it’s not even a race. This is for people like me who will only run if they feel like they are being chased. Basically you choose to be either a vampire or a citizen. There are different starting points and the two groups don’t see each other until at some point in the race the paths converge. Proceeds from the race benefits local blood donation centers. It will be in Atlanta on April, 26th. To register go to http://www.vampire5k.com. I even have a coupon code for you for $10 off – DONTGETBIT. Don’t let what happened in Boston discourage you from doing what you love.

My thoughts about the Allow You To Pour Me Into You Event

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to attend a different type of event. The whole idea behind this event was for us to allow ourselves a chance to get pampered. This is important, especially for small business owners because we typically wear all the hats in our business. We usually spend so much time taking care of others that we neglect taking care of our own needs. I really enjoyed this opportunity to fellowship with other entrepreneurs in a safe environment without having to worry about the endless pitches. It was nice to just hang out and really build relationships with other small business owners. That is the bottom line. It’s great to meet new people but if all you’re doing is meeting new people and not building relationships with them, you’re wasting your time. While you’re out networking make sure to spend some time with the people you’ve already met. No one can refer you business if they don’t get a sense of the REAL you. That can only happen if you step away from the virtual world and spend some time networking in the real world. I am going to leave you with some photos and videos from the event. If you want to attend the next event, please be sure to follow this page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/HadjaKurSand Ceremony At "Allow Me To Pour Into You"

Someone on twitter (I don’t remember who or I’d give them full credit) sent me  a link to a site that lists all the twitter chats in  a spreadsheet format.  If you are having a chat and it’s not listed on there, you can just add your chat to the list.  I thought this was a pretty useful tool.  So here’s the link to the full listing of twitter chats.  Just click on the words twitter chats to get to the list.

Journchat-This chat happens via twitter every week. This chat is for journalists, bloggers, and public relations professionals. The main purpose of this chat is to provide a platform for the people that report on the news to have an open dialog with each other. This week’s chat takes place on Monday from 8 PM to 9:55 PM (EST) via twitter. This is a fast moving chat so I suggest you use tweetchat to help you follow the conversation. Also if you are a journalism student, you should add this to your routine. You’ll learn a lot of “real world” stuff in this chat that you may not learn in your college classes.
