Some things you should leave to professionals-electric work is one of those things

Electric Pole
Only qualified professionals should handle electric work
I know there are a lot of things that we can do ourselves. We can do our own taxes. We can write our own content. We can manage our own blogs. We can cook our own food. We can make our clothes. We can even make our own bath and body products. However, there are some things that we simply should not try on our own. Fooling around with the wiring in our homes is one of those things. Whenever you have electrical work to do you should consult a professional.
Quantum-Electric.com is a website you can go to if you want to find someone to do electrical work in the Austin, TX area. If you are in other parts of the world just Google electrician + your location to find an electrician.

How Can I Build My Email List?

I’m a member of a lot of business related Facebook groups. That’s a good way to connect with people that are interested in what you are interested in. One of the groups I am involved in, Atlanta Women Entrepreneurs is extremely active with people asking lots of business related questions. I have to sometimes pull myself away from the group’s page or I’ll spend all day on there helping out with this or that question related to small business. One question made me want to write a blog post so I didn’t crowd the group or take over the conversation. So here’s the question that started it all (I will also link to the person that asked the question as well as the person that answered the question):

Blog Action Day 2010 Is Coming On October 15th.

Quick announcement for you!

I wanted to let you know about an important online event I’m taking part in on October 15th, called Blog Action Day.

Each year bloggers from more than 100 countries come together and blog about a single important issue, and this year’s topic is clean water.

The event includes thousands of blogs – including the White House blog and The Official Google Blog – and they’re looking for as many blogs to participate as possible, regardless of their size and focus.

I hope you’ll think about joining me for this event.

Blogging for Profit Begins With a Long Term Plan

Many people dream of blogging for profit, and this goal
is not far beyond the reach of someone with average
intelligence, a willingness to work hard, and a basic
grasp of blogging technology. However, very few
people manage to reap the profits they want from their
blog. Most people who attempt to make money with
their blogs do not succeed for two reasons. Often,
bloggers have unrealistic expectations of how fast their
readership will grow and how much money they will
make, and when these expectations are not met the
disappointment can crush the desire to continue
blogging. The other trap that many bloggers fall into
has to do with lack of planning. If you want to turn a
profit as a blogger, the key to success is to make a
realistic plan and stick with it.

Today's Blogging Video – Can DoFollow Tags Affect My Blog's Reputation

I personally like DoFollow tags. I use DoFollow tags on my blogs because I feel like if someone wants to leave a useful comment they should get some page rank from leaving that comment. But alas I am not Google. The following video gives some insight into how Google views DoFollow Tags…

Now with that being said, does that change my personal opinion on DoFollow Tags? No not at all. I’m trying to build a community on my blog and comments are part of that. So I’m keeping my DoFollow tags in spite of the so called risks they may pose to my blog.

Facebook vs. Twitter – My opinion of two social media giants.

It seems like you can’t have a discussion about social media without someone asking the question of which is better, Facebook or Twitter. While I can’t possibly hope to end any debate on the subject, I can share my opinion.

For me twitter is the best social media tool to use for business. Yes I know you’re limited to 140 characters on twitter. It’s a lot easier for me to focus on the task at hand when I’m on twitter. When I’m on Facebook, I admit that I get lost in a lot of the applications and games.
